The Glasgow Science Centre is a major science and technology museum on the south bank of the River Clyde, with three levels of hands-on exhibits, interactive workshops, a Planetarium, live science shows and more. The science mall also has numerous theates and spaces available for hosting events and presentations. Within the site there is the Glasgow Tower, the only structure in the world capable of rotating 360° from its foundations. Glasgow Science Centre also hosts the IMAX Theatre, which opened in 2001 and is the first cinema of its kind in Scotland.
