Glasgow's West End Festival is one of the most popular events in Glasgow's
calendar, and features a wide range of events including Theatre and Dance,
Music, Exhibitions, Film, Comedy, Walks and Free Classes. The Festival attracts
audiences in excess of 50,000 and takes place in June each year, in and around
Byres Road. During the street carnival parade the whole length of Byres Road is
closed to traffic, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
Whether you want to learn a new language in one hour, or see a selection of Shakespeare's plays performed inside the beautiful Botanic Gardens, the West End Festival is the place to do it.
