Ibrox Stadium is the home ground of Glasgow Rangers Football Club, and is located in the South Side of Glasgow. Originally named Ibrox Park, Ibrox has a maximum seating capacity of 50,411. However in 1939, before the stadium became an all-seater, it hosted a UK record league attendance of 118,567 for an Old Firm match against city rivals, Celtic FC. Ibrox Stadium is one of only around twenty stadia in Europe that have been awarded the five-star rating by UEFA, allowing it to stage important European fixtures like the Champions League Final.
In 1959 Ibrox stadium created the Trophy Room, which contains an impressive selection of the club's trophies, silverware, pennants and medals, and is open to visitors. Tours can be organised through the club website:
